PTLLS means preparing to teach in the lifelong learning sector. The Life learning sectors in other word is post-secondary education or if you like call it non-compulsory education. Learners can choose to gain the qualification in level 3 or level 4. The questions in both levels are the same but in level 4 learners are asked to evaluate the situations rather than simply summarise or explain.

The best way to prepare for the training is to get hold of the PTLLS Assignments or PTLLS  Resources  and study along with them. Depending on the awarding organization-NCFE, City, Guild, etc. there are about 8 PTLLS assignments which are normally grouped as PTLLS Assignments 1, 2,3 4 up to 8. Training can be done online or in a live classrooms. Classroom training is often shorter and normally completed within days or weeks depending on the training organization. Some colleges take up to 12 weeks to complete the PTLLS courses while some trainers can complete the course in just days. Online training are longer because you have to complete each unit, email to your mentor and then wait for feedbacks before proceeding to the next  PTLLS assignment.  However depending on how much time you plan to devote to your studies online training can be completed within 4weeks or less. With online studies you can combine work with studies and if you are working in similar field you can apply what you’re learning to your subject. You can even draw reference or examples from your work scenarios.
